Brother and sister reading and howling along with LITTLE DOG, BIG BARK. In case you want to read along too, he text is as follows:
Phoebe’s owners gave her fancy haircuts and frilly clothes. "Oh, Phoebe, darling!" they cooed, “You're soooooooo precious!" This made Phoebe howl extra loud. ARRROOOOOOO! "My name is NOT Phoebe! It’s Fang!" |
I read “Little Dog, Big Bark” to my son yesterday and he was howling with laughter. He thinks it's hysterical. I do goofy voices. I make Phoebe sound like a trucker and I make Boris sound like a hair dresser. ;) He colored some of the pages too…like this one. (See below.)

He barks along and giggles as the adventure unfolds. He loves that it was "a gift" from our dog. There's a spot at the beginning of the book where you can stick a photo of your pooch. I taped a picture of our Puggle in this spot and told my son that the book was a birthday gift from the dog. He thinks that's hysterical. He gets goofy and silly when I read him Little Dog, Big Bark –– and the fact that it holds his (very limited) attention span says something about the story's pace and originality. 5.0 out of 5 stars For Dog and Kid Lovers Byantoinette costelloon July 8, 2016 Verified Purchase If you are a dog and kid lover, not necessarily in that order, you will just love this delightful, funny book ! The illustrations and storyline is so expressive and action packed, my grandchildren were captivated. I liked the life lesson too. My grandkids come in many sizes. Good price value too. I bought 2 more. |
